So today was Mavericks last day of training, it has been a year since we started training with Marcus at K9 citizens. I can honestly say maverick has made huge improvements with the help of Marcus‘. Marcus has done what we thought was impossible with our Great Dane Malibu! Marcus has an amazing ability to make your training fit your goals. He teaches the commands and skills and then focuses in on how you give commands or hold the leash and then how your dog responds to both. He demonstrates and lets you try and then very politely corrects you (if needed). He gives the why in addition to the how, which helps to train the humans and justify the repetition to get to “duration and distance.” We loved how he integrated his chill dog Ninja into the training. Ninja taught Malibu how to interact with other dogs and how to handle distractions. He was a great example for Malibu and great addition to the training. Our trips to Landa Park and Lowe’s were extremely educational and helpful to applying what we had learned and doing what we thought would always be impossible with Malibu! We highly recommend Marcus!

We brought a new puppy home back in March, and quickly started noticing ressource guarding issues and aggressive behavior between him and our older dog. On top of that, they were both showing reactivity inside and outside the house & our puppy was extremely shy + lacking confidence (he wouldn’t go past the front porch!).

Marcus has been amazing to work with, immediately his mannerism came off like a dog whisperer lol! He immediately had me training with my dogs, literally by the second session. My dogs had already had a lot of transformation. And I say this with time between the first and second session where I worked with them individually on my own at my spare time in my home. You have to put in the work also. We don’t realize that us as dog parents really have a lot to do with our pets reactions and I have 100% learn that. Let me start off by saying Marcus is an excellent dog trainer. My Cane Corso, Zeus was very reactive towards other dog and some times people and he also needed a little more structure with basic obedience. Marcus came to my house and brought his dog Ninja with him to evaluate Zeus’s behavior to see if he was able to help me out. After the four sessions I can tell a huge difference in Zeus. I can now take him to dog parks without him trying to cause a seen towards other dogs. Not only did Zeus get something out of this training, but I did as well. Thanks Marcus for your time and knowledge to make Zeus a better dog.

I just completed my training sessions with K9 Citizens Club for my 3 pups. I have 2 older dogs that needed a refresher on basic obedience and a new puppy who had no training at all. It was definitely worth it! The training was done once a week at my residence which was super convenient with 2 large dogs and a puppy. Marcus was great! He uses positive reinforcement and is great at what he does. He was very punctual, knowledgeable, and provided me with a ton of resources for training and supplies. All 3 of my dogs responded very well to the training and I saw results quickly. He even helped me with e-collar training on two of my pups. I would definitely recommend K9 Citizens Club for any training needs. Thanks Marcus for helping my pups become nice well behaved boys!
