Trainer and Owner

Marcus Taylor is a native Texan with a love for animals and people. Marcus’ desire to work with dogs started in his childhood and his passion grew when he started working professionally with dual purpose dogs at the Department of Energy in 2005. Here he certified and competed in the United States Police Canine Association winning top placements in his region and nationally with two different dogs. This required daily training and learning new and better skills in bomb detection, agility, obedience, tracking, and protection work throughout the years with his canine partners. He began using his expertise to train private clients on the side in his hometown and surrounding areas in Texas.

Marcus Taylor also used these skills to work alongside multiple agencies in Texas and Louisiana at both private and public events. He eventually decided to aid our military overseas where he worked explosive detection dogs in Afghanistan from 2015 until 2017. His passion for training and handling dogs birthed the start of K9 Citizens Club in the summer of 2017 in the Louisiana area as he saw the need for better dog training practices and owner education that would allow him to use his passion and experience to best serve the canine community.

Marcus Taylor is a Professional Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and a Canine Good Citizens Evaluator for the American Kennel Club (AKC).
